Auckland is a quaint city surrounded by some really amazing beaches.

When we initially planned our trip to New Zealand we were super excited to be able to check out Auckland. We had heard it’s a great little city with tasty food and great coffee. We only had a day to check out the city, so we really wanted to take in all the highlights that Auckland has to offer.

We spent a day exploring the city and found that it really reminded us of an itty-bitty version of Melbourne. There is some awesome street art, a few gorgeous parks, and definitely some nice coffee shops. After wandering around the city a bit we decided to check out the surrounding areas in Auckland, and that’s where we really enjoyed ourselves the most.

These are the top things we did in the Auckland area during our trip. If you have limited time in Auckland like we did, I would try to check as many items off this list as you can to really see some of the highlights of this area.
