Tigerlily’s is the epitome of what you imagine when you escape to beautiful Bali.

Tigerlily's was hands down our favourite resort while visiting Bali, and there’s a ton of reasons why. This property embraced everything I look for in a hotel; it was cozy, eco-chic, small, the property was gorgeous, the staff was lovely and I felt like I could’ve stayed forever. It was just very special and unique!

First of all, I need to highlight the staff. The manager was extremely welcoming, helpful and took care of anything we needed with a lovely, personal touch. She has traveled all over the world and worked at resorts in many different countries and her passion for hospitality really shined. She was happy to offer us suggestions about her favourite things to do around the island.

The next thing we noticed was how whimsical and pristine the property was. When you walk around this property it really feels like it was decorated with love, as every little detail seems perfectly thought out. This hotel consists of villas which look very ‘glamping style’ from the exterior. However, the interiors were pristine and clean, with Balinese decor and amazingly comfortable beds. They were able to take some amazing wooden villas and make them as comfortable as a five star hotel.

As like many other places we stayed while in Bali, the bathroom was outside. The bathroom at this property was large with a huge outdoor shower. We had a first floor unit which we enjoyed, but we noticed that the people on the top level of our bungalow had to walk down the outside stairs to come down and use their restroom. So, I would highly recommend booking a first floor unit if you can.

The pool was lovely and the perfect size for this small property, and the restaurant served an amazing, included, breakfast.

When choosing a hotel in Nusa Lembongan we had a hard time because a lot of the less expensive properties located right on the beach didn’t have great reviews on TripAdvisor, Hotels.com, Agoda, etc. There were a lot of properties right on the beach that had awesome reviews, however these were in the next price range and we wanted to save our money for activities, etc.

So, we decided to go with Tigerlily’s boutique hotel; a property with amazing reviews that was priced perfectly. Our only concern that was it was not located right on the beach. Obviously when visiting an island we thought it would be ideal to stay right on the beach, so we were nervous this would impact our time in Nusa Lembongan. However, we were very pleasantly surprised as Tigerlily’s is located right in downtown surrounded by shops and restaurants, and only a 3 minute scooter ride to the beach. (Read my article about why you must rent a scooter on Nusa Lembongan here). The island is so small and accessible that not being on the beach wasn’t an issue at all.
