This restaurant is a go to in Ubud if you are looking for good food on a tight budget.
Ubud was full of surprises for us. From the many pop-up ceremonies we got to see, to the amazing local art. However, one of the biggest surprises was that one of our favourite restaurants was an italian wood-fired pizza place!.
I actually read about Umah Pizza on a blog, and this particular blogger said that the pizza was so good they ate their twice during their trip. After 8 days in Bali we decided it was time to step away from the traditional cuisine and have some classic, good-old pizza.
We went here and the place was packed; but it is easy to see why. All pizzas are made from fresh, local ingredients and they feature a home-made sauce. They are then cooked in the wood-fired oven located in the open-air kitchen, and served for an amazing $1.08 USD for a personal sized margherita pizza. You cannot get a better meal for a better price in Ubud.
In fact, we loved this place so much we ended up eating there twice as well. We ordered two pizzas; a large margherita, a large bolognese, and garlic bread all for $7.68 USD!!!
If you are in Ubud you have to try it. It’s the best value for your money and it’s damn tasty too. The service is good and the ambiance is nice as well. If you have a large party you can rent out a back room which randomly has a swimming pool.
