UBUD ACCOMMODATION FOR EVERY BUDGET

Whether you’re travelling on a budget or looking to live like royalty, there are tons of options for you in Ubud.

There is something absolutely magical about Ubud. It’s a unique combination of the gorgeous temples, the Monkeys hanging out in forest, the endless rice terraces, and the amazing culture that really makes Ubud so unique. (Find my curated guide to Ubud here).
When we originally booked our trip to Bali we only planned to stay in Ubud for 3 days, however once we arrived we decided to extend our time there to 5 days. There is just so much to see and do there that we felt like we could’ve spent an entire month discovering this unique city.
“It’s easy to get swept away in Ubud with the religious ceremonies in the streets, the gorgeous temples, the stunning rice terraces-- there’s so much to take in and experience.”
- Lindsey Farrah
Ubud is definitely a place that everyone should experience and the good news is that anyone can, no matter what your budget is.  It’s a unique city in the sense that accomodation ranges from extremely low budget all the way up to the budget of a royal prince. These are some accommodation options for you no matter what category you fall under. These recommendations are hotels I either stayed at or researched using my favourite review website, TripAdvisor. I only included hotels which had 5/5 Bubbles by many reviewers, and I also vetted through Instagram photos, reviews and more to make sure these properties are places I would stay myself.

Hati Padi Cottages

  • Cost: $40 USD per night
  • We stayed at this property during our stay and had a lovely time. Hati Padi is located pretty far from Ubud, about 30 minutes away. It’s located within a small village that owns and runs Hati Padi. So, we found this aspect of the hotel to be pretty special.
  • The villas on the property were once home that have been renovated and turned into the villas that now make up Hadi Pati. There is a lovely pool in the middle of the property which overlooks a lush rice terrace. Every morning while we enjoyed our coffees we were able to see people go out into the rice terrace and start their day of work.
  • The decor here is all locally made, Balinese style decor. There are tons of bright colors and unique pieces of art around this property, which I absolutely loved. For $40 USD per night it’s an awesome value.

  • We loved this property because it was pristine and offered everything we needed; from delicious dining to amazing massages right next to a babbling brook. It’s also very convenient as it’s only a ten minute scooter ride to downtown Ubud. They also offer a shuttle into town if you aren’t keen on riding a scooter. Read my post about getting around Bali here.
  • Calma Ubud is something special because they have found a way to have an eco-chic property that is equally chic as it is eco. It’s a gorgeous hotel with all the amenities you would ever need, located in a small village, overlooking a rice terrace. It was absolute heaven. TripAdvisor users agree, as this property is also rated 5/5 bubbles.

Hanging Gardens of Bali

  • Cost: $625 USD per night
  • This is one of the most Instagrammed hotels in all of Bali and it’s all because of their amazing pools. The top infinity pool is located very high on a cliff with the second pool located far below. Both pools face completely empty jungle and offer complete serenity. This is somewhere I would love to stay but don’t ever see myself having the budget to do so. but, if you have the money and are looking for a once-in-a-lifetime accommodation, check this place out.
